I kept hearing it referred to as the “ Cooperstown clash”
Glad to see those two old heads getting some run and pub in the media.
MLB should do a hell of a lot more to celebrate it’s greats of the game, when we all know they are on their way out.

It shouldn’t piss people off. It’s just stating facts. He hasn’t performed to expectations and me personally, I think it’s largely due to his injury. Whenever an athlete suffers a major injury like that you never know what type of player they are going to be whenever they return. They might look the same physically but mentally it does a lot of damage to their psyche and you just can’t predict the outcome.

I don’t want to sound insensitive to a horrific injury that occurred but how do you think everyone’s reaction would be if they were running out the clock in a regular season game? I get it, there was a bad injury but this is the sport you signed up for and ultimately you are going to have to do what you are paid to do. Example: if someone codes at work and I have to perform CPR, I don’t just get to go home for the rest of the day. I still have to do my job for the rest of my shift and ensure my other patients get the services and care they/their insurance is paying for. I don’t just get to say peace out on the rest of the day. All I am saying is you know what you sign up for in your chosen career path.

MLB is rounding third and heading home about to enter the last quarter of the regular season. Every single division is separated by 6 games or less. Each league has at least 4 teams vying for the 1 seed and within 5 games in their respective league. All but 6 MLB teams are within 10 games of at least a wildcard berth. Should be an exciting finish down the stretch.

I agree, Woolworth’s was great. We went to Australia a number of years ago and were excited to see them because we thought they no longer existed. It’s definitely evolved, but so has everything.
