They did fire Kendrick Perkins so that gives me hope. Next needs to be Stephen A.

I've always had the mind set that Stephen A is another loud mouth jerk
and I usually change the channel or just not watch that show.

Umpires are usually paid on tenure but I think almost all first year umps get the same rate from what I have read though.

At least we know (or think we know) she won’t make the game about her, getting into arguments with coaches and players.

I knew this would be coming at some point. Makes too much sense. It will become a “tile” like Marvel and Star Wars on Disney+.

There are still a number of umps like that, Buckner comes to mind, but generally the umpiring across the league has improved the last couple of years, imho. The older guys have a better feel for the critical calls, if they feel the need to influence a game. I agree that a young woman representing her gender as an official should call a fair game. Fair meaning consistent both ways.
