Pearl Harbor (2001) was on last night late. I caught the last 2 & half hrs. When the
bombing started I cried like a damn baby & getting so pissed I wanted to man one
of those big ass guns & start shooting at Japs. Finally when Afleck & Hartnett got the two planes in the air I was right there in the cockpit with them. I really watched the movie bc Kate Beckinsale was in it. If you haven't had the chance to see the movie after 24 years I think its time. That film does a great job showing what we know is true.

Would be par for the course since it is in Atlanta. The Braves ditched the season so everyone else should ditch the game.

I watched it recently for the first time. Great flick.

Too many all star pitchers are scheduled to start Saturday. If they want everyone to participate then they need to start scheduling the all star game on a Saturday or Sunday. Never made sense for it to be on a weekday anyways.

When the shooting started to happen, they showed bullets coming into & hitting ships.
When our service men were in the water them damn Japs were shooting them trying to swim to safety. By that time, I was a basket case in tears. I always love things of the 1940s. That's where mom & dad met & started dating in HS when all things suddenly went to Hell for the whole world. 2,403 people died at the Pearl Harbor attack.

Unfortunately for Japan, they brought much worse unnecessary deaths to innocent civilians in their own country because of the actions at Pearl Harbor. Don’t think they realized what they were getting themselves into.

And we are on great terms with peace & adoration w/them for years now. Japan underestimated the American people's will & determination to get up and respond like we did during that time. There was no direct quote from the Admiral (Yamamoto) who planned out the attack but later expressed the sentiment that they had "awaken a sleeping giant".

Writer of Pearl Harbor was Randall Wallace who is from Jackson TN. He also wrote Braveheart, We Were Soldiers, The Man in the Iron Mask, Heaven is for Real, The Resurrection of the Christ(sequel to Passion of the Christ) which comes out next year. He directed We Were Soldiers, Man in the Iron Mask, Secretariat
