OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Just reminiscing on great basketball. Everyone now just wants to shoot threes and get paid. Back then they used to have to earn their paycheck and they all played as hard as they could. Larry’s last years of NBA were my first few years of living so I never actually got to watch him play. But he is always someone I wished I could have seen play. Short list of athletes I wished I had gotten to see:

Hank Aaron
Babe Ruth
Larry Bird
Muhammad Ali
Jim Thorpe
Bruce Lee
Jim Brown

Horns can get sawed off for all I care.

I’m still in shock over that trade last night. Two guys of that caliber just don’t get traded mid season like that.
Not everybody (me included) knows WTF you're talking about boss.

So shocked that you didn't list any teams/players of what your shocked about.

I literally just read about it! I’m so out of the loop right now!
That is a blockbuster trade!
@knoxvol52 im curious to hear your thoughts(I really don’t want to read back through the thread)

What does this mean for DK?
Will Luka be content with Bronny cutting into his minutes?(I’m being a smart @$$)

When’s the last time we had a trade this big in one of the big 4, major sports?

A-Rod for Soriano might be the closest thing in MLB. But I think that was in the offseason.

I believe DK will be in a trade package for a center that Lakers need so desperately as of yesterday. So in next few days DK may be wearing a Utah Jazz uniform.

Last major trade of the magnitude probably is when the Bucks traded Kareem to Lakers in the 70's after having sn MVP season.
