For one reason Fox has College Football on Primetime Saturday night and FS1 the same so Bally Sports was the only choice ....MLB Network wants to show the games but due Bally having rights it's always blacked out on MLB Network...Would be nice if MLB recognized their flaws and try to maximize their exposure. The world always has to wait until October to get to know these teams because MLB and their stupid regional sports networks contracts.
That’s one day though. Doesn’t explain the other three days. I wonder if NBC or CBS have ever considered carrying MLB games nationally again? For one reason Fox has College Football on Primetime Saturday night and FS1 the same so Bally Sports was the only choice ....MLB Network wants to show the games but due Bally having rights it's always blacked out on MLB Network...
Wow. Good analogy as they do sound like the 2022 BaseVols. Sounds like the most dominant Braves team ever. I watched them closely since TBS came into existence but stopped in 94 for about 10 years and again stopped about 3 years ago. I still have my old Dale Murphy engraved Rawlings glove. PS Who is their main closer?Braves lead the NL in team ERA and bullpen ERA. Charlie Morton, Spencer Strider, and Bryce Elder all are in the top 9 in the NL in ERA. Max Fried recently came off the IL and is sporting a 2.85 ERA in 10 starts this season. Kyle Wright is also working his way back and should be able to make a couple starts in the last couple weeks of the season before the playoffs. Pitching sorely gets overlooked on this team due to the historic numbers by the offense. This team reminds me so much of the 2022 BaseVols. Dominant hitting and pitching. Whenever you have four starting pitchers with a sub-3.50 ERA and possibly seven hitters with 25+ home runs it’s a recipe for success. We all know the best team rarely wins it all though so it wouldn’t shock me if the Braves lose in the NLDS or NLCS. This is quite possibly the best Braves team in my lifetime and I grew up with some great ones in the 90s.
Great outlook and one that I need to adopt. That 22 team was ridiculously talented and just electric to watch.I’m pretty sure it’s the best in my lifetime and probably one of the best MLB teams period.
I don’t care if they win the WS or not, I know for a fact that they are the best team in baseball and that gives me a peace of mind. Championships are nice but I’ve grown to appreciate the game more than championships. It’s the same way I view the ‘22 baseVols.
This team is really good, really fun to watch and no WS win or loss will change that for me.
Just an old man’s opinion on the game he loves.
Raisel Iglesias and AJ Minter have been used the most in the closer role. Iglesias has 26 saves and Minter has 10.Wow. Good analogy as they do sound like the 2022 BaseVols. Nah, too expensive for golf & too much hurt on the knees & ankles w/tennis.Well I like both if you ever tried to play both sports you would respect it more!!!!!![]()
I feel like when I was young, most saturdays gave you a choice between baseball and college football, on the big 3 networks, at least on 2 of them. For one reason Fox has College Football on Primetime Saturday night and FS1 the same so Bally Sports was the only choice ....MLB Network wants to show the games but due Bally having rights it's always blacked out on MLB Network...
Nevermind. I just saw 52’s post above, about Fox prime time football , Saturday night. Are we certain that Fox is not showcasing the Braves/Dodgers on Saturday?
If not, they sure missed a big opportunity and MLB should be kicking themselves for not being able to give a national audience, the 2 beat teams in baseball and potential NLCS preview.
CBS =FootballI feel like when I was young, most saturdays gave you a choice between baseball and college football, on the big 3 networks, at least on 2 of them.
Am I wrong in remembering this? I want to say ABC was baseball and NBC was football. At that time, CBS was on channel 26 on the UHF dial and I don’t remember if they had sports or not.
Somebody help me out.
