  • 1951 - Baseball signs a six-year All-Star Game pact for TV-radio rights for $6 million. A number of owners criticize lame-duck Commissioner Happy Chandler, believing that in a couple of years, the broadcast rights would be worth much more than $1 million per annum.

Cant wait till baseball season ⚾🍊🔥

The Volunteers need to get to the College World Series in 2023 because last year they were a classic Vanderbilt style team that failed to make it to the College World Series after a great regular season.

Currently I’m relaxing in the LaVista Hooters, and the SDS vs SJS was a pretty entertaining game including 1 student dressed as an Aztec, Aztecs babes, and a man wearing a laughable obvious fake beard since he was dressed as the prosperous Pirate Blackbeard.

Sadly, I must report that I came close to clipping Tony V last night after the game. The spouse and I were in the first car sitting on Lake Loudoun Blvd waiting to be waved through towards Neyland Drive. Cop motioned us to go so I took off hoping to reach and get the go ahead to go right on Neyland. We’re rolling pretty good, and the spouse says, “hey, watch out, there’s someone crossing the road. SLOW DOWN.” Of course I did and as I reach him this guy is waving to me as if to say, “thanks for not hitting me”, and I realize it’s a guy with a headband and then realize it’s Tony. Whew, glad I didn’t get him. Y’all would be really mad.

As much as we love you, you would have to be exiled for that 🤣
