That was a good read, thanks.
Agree with his #1 pick.

Here is my list of what I’d like to see, not who I think is going to make it.

Green is who I’d be cheering for in these possible matchups.
Bengals or Bills vs Philadelphia, Giants or 49ers
Or
Cowboys vs Chiefs or Jags
I’m rooting for the Bills and Eagles. Bills because they deserve a Super Bowl after losing 4 straight. Eagles because my best friend is a fan of theirs.

It’s to the point with how bad it’s gotten for the Gators that you start feeling a bit sorry for them .

On January 20 in Baseball History...
  • 1871 - The Boston Red Stockings incorporate and the future National League Atlanta Braves are born. Three months later the franchise is officially recognized by the National Association of Professional Baseball Players.

  • 1947 - Famed Negro League slugger Josh Gibson dies of a brain tumor at age 35. His Hall of Fame plaque credits the catcher with 'almost 800 home runs.'

  • 1966 - The BBWAA elects Ted Williams to the Hall of Fame. Williams, the last batter to hit .400, receives 282 of a possible 302 votes. He won the Triple Crown twice, A.L. M.V.P. twice, and produced the highest on-base average of all time (.483), even though he lost five years to military service.

  • 1970 - Lou Boudreau is elected to the Hall of Fame, receiving 232 of a possible 300 votes from the BBWAA. He led the A.L. eight times in fielding percentage, won a batting title, and was named MVP as player-manager of the 1948 World Champion Indians.

  • 1984 - In a move that stuns New York fans, the White Sox draft Tom Seaver as compensation for losing Type A free agent Dennis Lamp to the Blue Jays. The Mets left Seaver off their protected list, erroneously assuming that no team would want to select the aging star. He will win his 300th game in a White Sox uniform in 1985.
