AP Poll is a joke. I love that he rips them every week. Everyone knows Texas and Penn State didn’t deserve to be in the top 10. In what logical ranking can you drop two of your top 10 teams completely out for losing a game? Shows they never should have been ranked that high to begin with.

It’s tough. The best teams gel early and grow together. It’s definitely a process. That one voter that “came out” as an idiot didn’t help the poll’s integrity. First thing i do Sunday morning following Vespers? Check those polls…

It’s because it is the only poll outside of the coach’s poll that gets attention. They should make the CFP rank teams all season long and actually make them watch the entire season. Doesn’t make sense for them to skip out on the first half of the season.

Not sure it’s a good idea to have the committee floundering around early season either. I think the committee waiting until after the first seven or eight weeks is a good thing. Focusing on the two polls to the exclusion of metrics is my big issue. There are five or six valid algorithms out there that get little attention. Why not publish a matrix like they do in basketball?

I don’t even want a committee because they will be biased no matter what. I want to use the old BCS ratings to choose the teams.
