I somehow missed the news of Bruce Pearl retiring today, reading this just now is how I learned lol. Bizarre to do it with the season right around the corner. Would have figured if he were gonna do that, he would have done it after their season ended in the tourney. Guess this route made them give his son the interim job though.

One former beloved Auburn coach ruined their name in politics, might as well make it 2 I suppose. No idea why anyone gets involved in that nonsense, especially when they already have all the money/success anyone could ever ask for.

Unfortunately they can’t stop for everyone or else they won’t even make it home until the sun rises the next. The best time for them to stop for everyone is training camp when things are a lot more relaxed. I’ll never fault an athlete for turning down an autograph. Also, Winston is third string so he has a lot more time than most. Starting players are in extremely high demand so if parents preemptively tell their kids “don’t expect any of them to sign anything but if one of them decides to do so they are taking time out of their day for you so make sure you thank them.” Don’t make the children think they are owed a signature and they won’t feel let down.
