My Blue Jays have hit 9 HR and scored 25 last 2 games to hopefully have some momentum in NY. Huge 3 game series this weekend at the Yankees. Only 3.5 game lead with 22 games to go. And Boston right there as well.
Hopefully it is a sweep for the Jays.

Why are small market teams like Milwaukee able to do so well?
Interesting question. No answer to the question, but in today's sports where it's all about money, these small market teams likely still approach the game like we did in the old days. Focus on evals, development and hard work. Plus, those fan bases in small markets seem to be far more loyal and invested in their teams. For me, I like the underdogs. Something about those teams that do more with less or some might say, doin' it the old school way that appeals to me. Gimme teams like the Pirates "family" back in the day or those rebels...the old Oakland A's. Guess it's just being old and nostalgic about the game I knew when growing up. Of course, I feel that way about all sports today....pro and college.

Ok. I submit the argument to the enlightened minds here in the dugout. (I guess @MAD can join in as well.) TN Football starts the year #24. Ok, maybe a little low, but winning takes care of things. FSU starts unranked. Granted, they do beat the highly ranked piles of elephant feces, but I digress, to open the season. Should FSU have made the jump all the way to #14 while TN only moved up to #22. I, of course, say that it was too big of a jump for FSU (not taking away from their win). What says the board here?
Rankings don't matter until November. Just keep winning

Holy chit, a Blue Jays fan. They do exist!

They do well in the Regular Season. They really don't win the WS
They don't even make it to the World Series. In fact, they rarely win a playoff series. They've won 2 playoff series in the past 40 some years. The last playoff series they won was 2018

Money does rule in MLB, as in most areas of life
