He definitely could do one more season if he wants. He is still an above average pitcher. I think they found the right formula trying to keep him under 125 innings. They could go with a modified 6-man rotation letting him pitch 3 or 4 games in a row and skipping a start and letting him go another 3 or 4 starts, etc.

Speaking of Dodgers greats.
I heard Duke Snider tell a story about how mean Don Drysdale was.
He said Frank Robinson came to the plate and the manager gave the sign to walk him.
Snider said on the first pitch Drysdale nailed Robinson in the ribs.
When asked why he did that, Drysdale responded “why the hell would I waste three more pitches when I could do the job in one?!”

Ok. I submit the argument to the enlightened minds here in the dugout. (I guess @MAD can join in as well.) TN Football starts the year #24. Ok, maybe a little low, but winning takes care of things. FSU starts unranked. Granted, they do beat the highly ranked piles of elephant feces, but I digress, to open the season. Should FSU have made the jump all the way to #14 while TN only moved up to #22. I, of course, say that it was too big of a jump for FSU (not taking away from their win). What says the board here?

I hear ya. It was a big disgrace shown to the Vols but it is what it is.
If we beat Georgia in a couple of weeks will be ranked #1. 😜
