Agreed, but Yellich is another fine example of the point being discussed that immediately came to mind!As an aside, I don’t even think Bellinger deserved that MVP. Yelich led the NL in BA, OBP, SLG (led majors), and OPS (led majors) and only trailed Bellinger by 3 HR and yet had twice as many stolen bases (30 vs 15) having played 26 fewer games.
Yelich unfortunately hasn’t been the same since the patellar fracture and then the back surgery on top of that. He was putting up just as good, if not better stats than Trout during his peak for those two seasons.Agreed, but Yellich is another fine example of the point being discussed that immediately came to mind!![]()
