The whole Hank Aaron thing is kinda weird. I’ve watched old interviews of guys like Mantle with Aaron and Mays with Aaron and my takeaway is Aaron didn’t get the notoriety or pub that Mantle and Mays received. I don’t think that came until much later in his career, when people realized, holy , this dude is really about to become the homerun king.

Whenever I heard him talking about all the hate mail and death threats he received as a player it made me want to cry for him. He didn’t really start talking about it until he was older too so he held all that in for a very long time. I hate that he probably never thought fondly of his playing days other than whenever he was actually on the field. So sad.

I wish I could take credit for that. I actually didn’t find out how bad that area was until the next day. I’m glad we still have some good people in this world. It really seemed like it brought the city together.

My boy is 12 and throws upper 60’s and he throws heat. His location is terrible sometimes(I thought he killed a kid one time)but still yet, 82 is insane!

its a damn shame that this guy wasn’t SEC POY, the Golden Spikes winner and drafted higher than he was.
The Brewers have done a great job scouting and promoting players over the last few seasons. I’d say possibly the best in the Majors.

I topped out at 85mph in high school. The fact a 12 year old is throwing as hard as I was during my athletic prime is crazy

We’ve had back to back seasons where our guy should have been SEC POY but the voters are ignorant. CMo lead the SEC games only stats and Fischer was clearly the best hitter in the league last year. Voters hate us because we were the villains a few years ago.
