They have to be wrong. All of the regional sports networks in the state are with the Braves, Reds, and Cardinals and all of those teams have large followings. The YES network is not available in Tennessee. Outside of nationally televised games, usually the only way to watch the Yankees in Tennessee is through MLB.tv.
I got to thinking about this a little. Does draft kings request your team preference in creating your online profile? It could be based on the derelict gambler’s statistics in each state!

I don’t think they specifically ask you on signup but they do have a “my favorites” tab where you can add teams and players. I’m sure they use that information.

Astros fan trolling the Rangers. But I don’t get the Tennessee bit. Are the Astros more popular than the Rangers in Texas? I don’t know. My BIL is an Astros fan but he lives in Houston.

The Rangers are broadcast out in West Texas for sure. Not sure about San Antonio or further south. I would guess that would tip the scales. Most don’t realize San Antonio is like #8 most populous city in ‘Murica.

I think if you asked 20 years ago it might have been the Rangers being more popular in Texas but the Astros have been to 5 World Series over that time period so I think they have overtaken the Rangers. Rangers might have a broader reach across the state but the Astros are popular with counties of higher population. At least that’s what it seems to be. @chuckiepoo might know more. We have quite a few Vol fans on here that live in Texas so I’m sure they would probably be able to chime in too.
