There have been several times celebrities or non-astronauts have gone up. Shatner, Strahan, the Dude Perfect guy, Bezos, Richard Branson. Several others. Kind of a slap in the face to the people that actually dedicated their lives to space research and never get the chance to go.

Got the sad news tonight fellas. My 100 yo + 7 months mother has been called to come Home to be w/the Lord Jesus tonight. I've been expecting it so I'm not to big of a shock. I lost my dad back in March of 1960. This'll be the first time they have see each other in 65 years. I was over there w/her earlier today in the afternoon and you could tell it was time. She passed away on my brother's birthday today. God giveth and God taketh away.

I told my son several years ago that things would come full circle. He was complaining about some PC at school.
I told him how our grandparents were when we were young. My generation toned it down somewhat . The millennials sprinkled everything with rainbows and glitter.
I went on to say his generation would get their belly full and go back to unfiltered in your face attitude like the greatest generation.
We are nearing that time IMO. I can’t wait.

My brother is doing all the leg work tonight. He's contacting people from all over the USA to let them know about what's going on w/this and that. I've only told my twin boys about her death and they were already expecting it to happen soon. She started going down hill fast starting Monday of this week. That's the reason I had to pick him up at the airport. He decided to get here quick after hearing this on Monday.

Prayers brother. Mom made it to 75, as did her mother.

It is even very difficult when you know that time has arrived. Mom and I watched Tenn beat SC in basketball one day after she was admitted tp St Mary's' Two days later she passed, not long after Dad left the hospital.

I learned of her death shortly after returning to Alabama, Both my Dad, her brother, my brother, and close relatives were living in Knoxville at that time
