He was referring to 6-4-3 or 4-6-3 double play turns. Not ground balls…I was always taught to have my throwing hand on top of the glove kind of like a clamshell opening, that way your hand is there to prevent the ball from popping out and easily transfer to throw. I guess everyone has their own way of doing it![]()
Where was this 8.8 quake? Never mind. I see it on the news.8.8 quake!

Who knows, maybe he could have told Ben he wouldn’t be signing anything and take the attention away from his opening and he was just being supportive. You usually know how those autographs go though. It might have started with a couple but ended up being the whole damn place wanting one. He could have felt if he started signing one he felt obligated to sign for everyone. And probably didn’t want it turning into a circus. Personally I would rather have a picture with the guy. It’s more personal than a stupid signature. When Ben Bartholomew opened his D1 training facility near Lovell rd, my daughter was playing travel soccer and we attended the grand opening
Peyton was there because apparently he and Ben are friends.
There was maybe 20-30 adults there along with maybe 10-12 kids and everyone was being respectful and courteous. No one was bothering Peyton whatsoever.
When the event was over, as Peyton walked out, two little boys, maybe 9-10 years old, asked Peyton if he would sign their jerseys.
Peyton looked right at them and said this event isn’t about me and just kept walking...
One kid was actually crying but both were crushed!
From that point on I had a different opinion of the guy.
2 minutes to write your name for two young fans, c’mon Peyton, really?!
Maybe it was a one off and maybe he didn’t mean to come across like he did, but I have just never been able to forget that and the looks on the faces of those little boys.

Well if you are first pick then you get to draft whoever you want and don’t have to go for someone lower on your draft board. Pretty sure everyone in any league would much prefer to have the number 1 overall pick over the 4th overall pick.Whose #4 bc I know not of these things. Like I said in a post once
just draft them & then if they're good enough play them. I don't
keep up w/players being drafted anymore.
