OldTimer’s Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Uh, Oh. That's not good at all , Marcus.

Morris’s agent, Yony Noy, tried to clarify the situation with a statement:

“Just so everyone understands this is zero fraud here or whatever crap outlets have said regarding fake checks or whatever the hell,” wrote Noy. “This is due to an outstanding marker with a casino. Apparently if you have over $1,200 they can issue a warrant for your arrest. Absolute insanity!”

I'm still doing the math on how much more than $1,200
$265,000 is.

The first thing I noticed is that when asked a question, he looks every person in the eyes when responding.
You don’t see that with a lot of young people.
Well, he won the “press conference” now let’s see if he can win on the field.
Even before seeing this interview I was rooting really hard for the guy, given the circumstances.

Also, I bet I can pick which reporter is popular around the facility...

I don’t care how stand up a guy is off the field, I can still despise him on the field.

Case in point, Peyton Manning is not the friendliest guy off the field and honestly, not one of my favorite people.
But he was a hell of a player and one of my favorites to watch play the game.
I respect him and his accomplishments but I can distinguish the difference between on/off the field.
Idk, the one time I met Peyton in the scrum at the Orange Bowl a couple of years ago, he was gladly taking pictures and yucking it up with fans. Seemed very friendly to me. Maybe he was just excited to see Tennessee finally back in a meaningful bowl game? That was my one and only in-person interaction with him.

You must've not gotten the memo. @VolPack22 is only person in this thread that's allowed to hate players or ex- players from other teams. Get with the program..
I hate the Dodgers but like Kershaw and Freddie 🤷‍♂️

Most of the players/coaches I don’t like are the ones that have cheated the game on an absurdly high level, or continually act like a jackass. There are others I don’t like based purely on rivalries but am cool with as human beings if I were to meet them in the street.

When Ben Bartholomew opened his D1 training facility near Lovell rd, my daughter was playing travel soccer and we attended the grand opening
Peyton was there because apparently he and Ben are friends.
There was maybe 20-30 adults there along with maybe 10-12 kids and everyone was being respectful and courteous. No one was bothering Peyton whatsoever.
When the event was over, as Peyton walked out, two little boys, maybe 9-10 years old, asked Peyton if he would sign their jerseys.
Peyton looked right at them and said this event isn’t about me and just kept walking...
One kid was actually crying but both were crushed!
From that point on I had a different opinion of the guy.
2 minutes to write your name for two young fans, c’mon Peyton, really?!
Maybe it was a one off and maybe he didn’t mean to come across like he did, but I have just never been able to forget that and the looks on the faces of those little boys.
🤷‍♂️

What pisses me off is I actually like a lot of those damn Dodgers.
Mookie, Freddie, Kershaw, Ohtani, Will Smith is a hell of a lot of fun to watch play his position.
I just wish they were Braves or Mets, instead of scumbag Dodgers!!
😁
