I am not amusedLooking like North Carolina will be coming to the SEC. According to multiple reports, there is a “handshake deal” in place. The current buyout for ACC teams is $165M but drops $18M per year over the next few years so it would be a more manageable $75M by the time 2030-31 rolls around. North Carolina is said to be the SEC’s number 1 priority from the ACC with either FSU or Clemson number 2 interchangeably. I think Clemson makes more sense at this time but if they decide to push it to four teams they will take both of them and one more of either Duke, Virginia Tech, NC State, Virginia, Georgia Tech, or Miami.
When I saw Rivers name, my first thought was not first ballot. First thought was 5-7 playoff record, 0-1 in AFC Championship. Great family guy, has babies like a rabbit, gorgeous wife. Best thing about him is he prolly gives zero fuqs one way or the other. I would prolly vote for him, had I a vote.Brees
Fitzgerald
Witten
Rivers
Should be no problem...first ballot
Good point, Rivers probably shouldn’t be a first ballot guy. When I saw Rivers name, my first thought was not first ballot. First thought was 5-7 playoff record, 0-1 in AFC Championship. Chargers legend Philip Rivers hit with rough take on HOF candidacy
Los Angeles Chargers legend Philip Rivers becomes eligibility to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026, but how strong is the quarterback's caswww.si.com
CJ Stroud is already 2-2 in the playoffs and is just now starting his third year.
Should have nominated him for a Darwin Award while you were castigating him in public. So obvious it’s not even mentioned at the USFA safety site:Pulled up to get some gas and about halfway through I smell cigarette smoke and see the jackass on the opposite pump smoking at his car. Asked him “hey do you mind putting that out so we don’t all blow up today. Some of us would like to be able to go home to our children. Thanks.” He said “oh yeah man, my bad…”![]()

I view him in the “Hall of Very Good”. Sad thing is if he switched roles with Tom Brady he might have won at least 3 or 4 Super Bowls and viewed completely differently. Chargers were always snakebitten. When I saw Rivers name, my first thought was not first ballot. First thought was 5-7 playoff record, 0-1 in AFC Championship.
