I would prefer to see that kid play another season before we start anointing him as anything. He plays in the Big Ten and we all know that conference sucks. He didn’t do anything vs the SEC teams he faced this season. He could end up being a superstar but I’m going to reserve judgment based on the competition he goes up against.

You could say that about the majority of prospects.

Only way I’m taking a high school pitcher #1 is if they set national high school records in every major pitching category. Even then I’m bringing him in for a workout to pitch through a simulated game vs my major league lineup.
