I'll agree to disagree lol*.Yes, almost all. You’re more than welcome to take the time off through FMLA but you aren’t getting paid unless you use your paid time off. That’s the way most places do it.
The places I’ve worked only do it that way I laid out and @W.TN.Orange Blood had to use his PTO also. So I guess we’re just in the minority lol. Highly doubtful of that 72% number. I guess companies would never forge numbers to make their business look better though…I'll agree to disagree lol*.
Even the f'n military gives time to dudes now bud.
*obviously depends on the company, but any job worth half a damn absolutely does. Cookler confirmed that 72% of the largest 500 public U.S. companies provide some amount of paid parental leave.**
**It's a Forbes article
Using that analogy, Barnes is a bum. I ain’t buying it.Bruce Bochy has won a World Series 4 out of the last 5 times he has made the postseason, and won all 4 of those over an 11 year stretch. Would you rather your team miss the playoffs a few times or be winning the whole thing every few seasons? Pretty easy answer for me as a Braves fan. I would give back all of those division championships if it meant we had won 2 more World Series in the 90s, heck even 1 more World Series would’ve made me happy. You’re remembered for winning, not being an above average regular season manager winning 2 out of 3 games whenever the actual series that matter are 7 games long.
Any job I’ve applied to in the last 5 years* has absolutely had it. Not that I care, nor need it at this stage in my life. The places I’ve worked only do it that way I laid out and @W.TN.Orange Blood had to use his PTO also. So I guess we’re just in the minority lol. Highly doubtful of that 72% number. I guess companies would never forge numbers to make their business look better though…
To be fair, it was only a couple of years Later after my twins were born, I had a co-worker to have a baby & they allowed him 2 weeks off ... paid. So I got screwed w/my timing..The places I’ve worked only do it that way I laid out and @W.TN.Orange Blood had to use his PTO also. So I guess we’re just in the minority lol. Highly doubtful of that 72% number. I guess companies would never forge numbers to make their business look better though…
Financial numbers? Absolutely. The places I’ve worked only do it that way I laid out and @W.TN.Orange Blood had to use his PTO also. So I guess we’re just in the minority lol. Highly doubtful of that 72% number. I guess companies would never forge numbers to make their business look better though…
Ask @knoxvol52 if he would take him over RobertsUsing that analogy, Barnes is a bum. I ain’t buying it.
Bruce Bochy has managed 15 seasons having achieved a NL pennant only once. 30 years. It took him a minute and there was plenty of wilderness wandering between the three WSC in San Fran and the one in Dallas.
Your call to make though. Hard to argue that he is not a great manager. He certainly is. I just question if the grass is any sabrosa mas.
Hmm. Good question. I’m not sure I believe a manager is all that important. They’re a genius if a decision pans out, an idiot if their players fail to execute. A job I wouldn’t trade to have.Ask @knoxvol52 if he would take him over Roberts![]()
