Don’t look now but the fightin’ Bruce Bochies are only 0.5 game back for a wildcard spot and have the best pitching in the majors. They are also 2nd in the AL in run differential. That is the one team you will not want to face if they make the dance because that manager is the best in the majors. Dude just knows how to win.

Snitker doesn’t make the list for managers with 4 World Series titles. It’s a lot harder trying to win 4 out of 7 games in the postseason whenever your pitching staff is stretched thin and your opponent has more time to make adjustments. Only 3 managers in the history of sport have more titles than Bochy. I’ll that guy over everyone else 😉🤙

Bruce Bochy has won a World Series 4 out of the last 5 times he has made the postseason, and won all 4 of those over an 11 year stretch. Would you rather your team miss the playoffs a few times or be winning the whole thing every few seasons? Pretty easy answer for me as a Braves fan. I would give back all of those division championships if it meant we had won 2 more World Series in the 90s, heck even 1 more World Series would’ve made me happy. You’re remembered for winning, not being an above average regular season manager winning 2 out of 3 games whenever the actual series that matter are 7 games long.

To this day, a lot of places don’t even have paternity leave. Makes it very difficult on the mother. Also makes it difficult on the father because they feel guilty about not being at home helping. Even 1 week would help tremendously.

I think back in 1986 I had to take a day of vacation. I don't think I got paternity leave.
If I did at that time I would've taken more than just one day.

Yep, that’s how most places are still. Make you use your paid time off. I mean I get it, the company has no obligation to pay for you to be with a child. They pay you to do your job. I understand both sides of it.
