Hogan first appeared in Memphis in the 1970s. Came in w/the name Sterling Golden.
With that name I knew that was made up BS. He was there for a couple of weeks getting some wrestling experience under his belt before moving up to the big time.

Died in Clearwater, FL. from cardiac arrest.

First time I watched Hogan was when he was in the old AWA wrestling.. his manager I think was Classy Freddie Blassie.

The night I watched Hollywood Hogan being born at Bash at the Beach ppv, was when I became a Hogan fan. He was terrific as a Heel..

Saturday Nights Main Event, I was around 8 years old. My dad would always let me stay up late to watch them and I vividly remember King Kong Bundy interfering at the end of Hogan’s match with Don Muraco and they, along with Bobby the brain, roughed the Hulkster up pretty good, leaving him “unconscious” in the ring!
I was so worried about Hogan, I was crying my eyes out and couldn’t go to sleep!!
😂
This is going to sound crazy to some, but to me Hogan was one of those larger than life Icons, that you think will live forever.
This news is right there with the Pat Summitt news, as far as breaking my heart.

Flame away noobs, I don’t care.

Yep, about 2 weeks before my 8th birthday.
