That music reminds me so much of an old video of game highlights of Tennessee drubbing Cal in 2006 with "It's a beatiful day" as the background.

Lest you misundersand, remember that Cal game into that season opener ranked 9th and the Vols a lowly 23rd. Cal had this RB named Marshawn Lynch (if you've ever heard of him lol), and the Bears had started a Heisman campaign for him before that season opener in our (at that time) 109.000+ seat Neyland stadium. Instead, it was all Vols, all day! A shellacking.

That my fave highlight video for years, in part for the way the video was timed to the music, and the way that music made me feel every time I heard it AFTER seeing the video. Alas, it seems to have disappeared (like so many of our videos, actually).

If anyone has a copy, PLEASE post it.

Below, a more traditional 11-minute highlight reel of the game. A good watch.

That Cal squad was loaded!!
Marshawn, Justin Forsett, Deshean Jackson, Lavelle Hawkins, Thomas DeCoud, Desmond Bishop, to name a few.
I can’t remember who the QB was though?
I want to say they lost a pretty good one the year before??
Jeff Tedford was riding high at that time.
I was a nervous wreck, coming into that game.😁

Thanks, cp. Always a chance to learn something new here.

I knew I'd never heard of bull trout (even as an expletive). Seems in 1980 they decided that Dolly Varden trout which were landlocked should be reclassified as a separate species.

No mention was made about Nebraskans.
Were any Nebraskans harmed in the making of this post?
That’s the real question.

Nate Longshore was the Quarterback
..yw

I suppose I’m thinking of someone else.

Did you do a little fishing today?
How was it? Catch any whoppers?

I’m dying to take my boys but it’s either been rainy or just too hot!!
I go crappie fishing.. caught a few going back tomorrow morning bright and early...

Btw: Aaron Rodgers was QB in 2004 for Cal..

Not supporting artists from West Tennessee OB?
Is that what you got from that post? Besides, there's like 85K +
people that live here in the Jax area alone. I don't know what the
population for the whole W.TN. area is ... but I'm sure others here will
support them at Halftime. Just not me. They won't miss mine.

Dolly Varden. Been a minute since I caught one of those. Up in Soldotna on the Kenai.
