Skenes has allowed 25 total earned runs in his first 19 starts this season. He allowed zero or one earned run in 12 of 19 starts. He has had 7 starts giving up zero earned runs, and still only has 4 wins. It's insane he only has 4 wins bc of how bad his run support has been. The Pirates could get so much in return for Paul Skenes. Generational Pitcher

Let him pitch for a franchise with real expectations like the Yankees and let’s how he does. It is so much easier to go out there and pitch with no postseason aspirations. deGrom helped lead a very average Mets team to a World Series appearance and was the best player on that team.

Bob Gibson, Warren Spahn, Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Steve Carlton, Pedro Martinez, Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Jim Palmer, Tom Seaver, Sandy Koufax, Justin Verlander, Jacob deGrom. Those guys were/are generational. Skenes hasn’t even sniffed what those guys have accomplished.
