Catcher record is only 48. Currently on pace for 64 HR which would destroy that record and be the most since the steroid era and also be tied with Sammy Sosa for 5th all-time. I think he has a realistic chance to finish 3rd all-time and eclipse the 66 Sosa hit in 1998. If he averages 12 HR per month the rest of the way he would finish with 69. He hit 12 in May and 11 in June. Currently has 5 for July.

I’m very interested to see 1, if he can keep up this pace in the 2nd half and 2, can he stay healthy?

I hope he stays around the game in some way.
He’s been good for baseball.
He’s one of the guys my 12 yr old will talk about watching, when he’s older.

Skenes has allowed 25 total earned runs in his first 19 starts this season. He allowed zero or one earned run in 12 of 19 starts. He has had 7 starts giving up zero earned runs, and still only has 4 wins. It's insane he only has 4 wins bc of how bad his run support has been. The Pirates could get so much in return for Paul Skenes. Generational Pitcher
