according to you ...but hey it's okay I have nothing against Jones. I hope he gets the votes to make the HOF this time around ...going to be tough though needs a 8% increase in his last year on ballot... Looked at next year's class and Jones could very well get in only Ryan Braun and Cole Hamels are the big names added to ballot...

If you can find it, “Rage” is pretty intense.
It’s under “Richard Bachman” though and not King.
It was the first book he published under the pen name.
It’s hard to find due to the very touchy subject and King eventually stopped it from being published.

Luckily for Andruw, he has seen an exponential rise in votes every year. Chipper was added to that special veteran’s committee and has been very outspoken in his support so I think that has helped. He is one of only 4 players with 10 Gold Gloves and 400 HR: Griffey Jr, Mays, and Schmidt are the only others. That should be enough on its own to get it but these old heads keep dragging their feet.

Braun was a known juicer and his stats plummeted after he got popped. He won’t even sniff getting in. I don’t see Hamels getting in either. He led the NL in shutouts one year and WHIP another year but outside of that never led the league in a single category. Only had 1 top 5 Cy Young finish. He does have the World Series MVP and 4 All Stars but other than that there is nothing on his résumé that deserves consideration. He is in the Hall of Very Good, not the HOF.

MLB should just give the players 4 days off with all the opt outs in this years All Star game is it really worth watching? Maybe showcase the futures game in primetime on Fox instead of a watered down All Star game
..

Yeah these modern day athletes just don’t get it. J Rod in Seattle is sitting out just because, no injury or anything like that. It’s sad to see football and basketball culture is starting to infiltrate baseball now.

I used to read all of King’s books many years ago. I read The Stand and it really bothered me. Funny, about 10 years ago or so, I read an “uncut” version of it and I could hardly get thru it. Completely, could not get into it. Funny how your taste changes over the years. Another read of King’s that scared me too death was Gerald’s Game-every woman’s worst nightmare!
