Its my first cruise, husband has been before. He had to really talk me into it. Only reason I agreed was based on where it was going. I didn’t want to a Caribbean one.
I've never been on a cruise, but I assume like most things, it's exactly what you make of it. Y'all will probably have a great time.
Shoot me now, no way! Going on a cruise in the North sea in August, hope its not like that other post!
The North Sea!!! Wow! There are absolutely great places everywhere you might stop. Denmark, Norway, Scotland, Bruge (Belgium), Amsterdam, etc. Any of them or other great places. I think you made a great call. And that's a good time.

I'm with you, I would take that over the Caribbean, any day. Not to dis the Caribbean: I've never been, but only hear good things.

Maybe if this paid $500 an hour I might give it a thought of working there.

Prolly headed to an off-shore oil rig, and prolly pays a lot. I know the rigs do. Hard, dangerous work. You definitely don't want a foot caught in one of those chains. But very well compensated.

Indeed. But this looks (to me) more like ship work for months on end (no oil rig).
I knew of a friend 50 years ago (when we were in our 20s) that got a job on the Mississippi River working on a boat. He was real skinny when he left for a year & came back looking like Hercules full of muscles after awhile working on the river.
PS ..... The Mississippi River is a very filth place to go swim. LOL ... I found out first hand.

You're right. It looks like a cargo ship (see top left). I jumped to conclusions because the only people I know who do that kind of work are on oil rigs.

Don’t be mean*, my friend. It was an ambush and those jerks ran the table. I think they set a record for most players drafted.

And if the CFP hadn’t had that bizarre and awful rule about promoting the lower-ranked conference winners ahead of every at-large team, we would have had the actual benefit of our 7 seed (instead of being moved down to 9th) and hosted SMU in Neyland that night. That would have been great for our program and athletic department across the board. And the rest of our games would have been at neutral sites. Would have been a very different playoff for us.

As is traditional, alas, bad and stupid rules are changed the year after we suffer from them directly, and there will be true seeding in the CFP this year. GB🍊!

I think any objective college football fan realizes that Ohio State was head and shoulders above everyone else based on that run. That’s why the Michigan loss was so bad in most people’s eyes. They weren’t even comparable teams. The SEC/Big Ten wanted this upcoming format to be the way initially but they allowed the peasants to have one year their way before the big boys take over the decisions going forward. Anyone and everyone involved in the sport saw how unfair that format was and everyone was complaining about how you shouldn’t be able to leapfrog 7 spots into an automatic bye all because you won a conference championship. It makes no sense to have a ranking if they aren’t going to be seeded as such. The whole thing was stupid and the SEC/Big Ten tried to tell them that.
