Basketball rooting interests this week for SECT 2 seed:

Tennessee beats Ole Miss, South Carolina

Alabama beats Florida

Auburn beats Alabama

2 Tennessee 13-5 (2-1 vs AL, FL)
3 Alabama 13-5 (1-1 vs FL, UT)
4 Florida 13-5 (1-2 vs AL, UT)

*If Florida beats Alabama, they clinch the 2 seed no matter what happens on Saturday. We would both have a 2-1 record in the 3-way tie scenario and they would win the tiebreaker over us due to their win over Auburn.

I’m leaning more toward @knoxvol52 being a Bruce Benedict guy...
😎
Heckuva catcher. Didn't have the physical makeup for it but just always battled. I'll never forget the game vs. the Dodgers on the west coast where he got tagged by a ball on the thigh and the ump said it didn't hit him. Critical call in the late innings that could have flipped the game. He dropped his pants right on live tv to show the ump the red mark. LOL

Ump didn't change the decision, of course, and we went on to lose. I must have been 8 years old or so and went to bed crying over how unfair it was. Ah, baseball.

@taylorvol

Thoughts on how pitching is going to be used this week with a game today, tomorrow and a 3 game set starting Friday.
I’m just guessing but I believe we see AJ Russell opening today for one inning. Not sure about tomorrow but obviously lots of folks to empty the bullpen and see some arms. I’m hopeful to see Behnke get an inning depending if his arm soreness is better.
I think weekend rotation will be unchanged: Doyle, Phillips, and Kuhns/Arvidson. Snead will be used as high leverage weekend relief as he‘s so valuable being able to go multiple innings and days. TN is blessed with a deep and uber talented stable of arms.

I don't believe that Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas deserves a bid. Georgia actually has earned it these three are just bad teams overall.

Oklahoma 4-12 in conference 🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, the SEC as a whole has never been this good. That 4-12 any other year could just as easily be somewhere between 6-10 to 8-8. I agree though, there should be a rule of finishing at least .500 in your conference to be NCAAT eligible.

I love how he says that like he knows most of the other teams aren’t capable of losing their last 2 or 3 games and dropping out.
The Heather Dinich of College Basketball. Lunardi may not get seeding correct but close every year on what teams make it. Plus Oklahoma is 3-7 in last 10 games, got toasted in 4 of them and lost at HOME to that bottom feeder LSU. Yea you're right they are definitely a NCAA tournament team. Don't care what conference it is, you can't lose to the 2nd worst team in league at home and be taken seriously. Just like Arkansas got smoked by South Carolina another bottom feeder.
