With a Mets loss, Braves win, and Snakes loss tonight, there would be a three-way tie in the wildcard but the Mets and Braves would be percentage points ahead due to fewer losses.

I much prefer the tiebreaker system we have now compared to having a Game 163 to settle it. Never made sense to have 2 teams play 1 game after a 162 game season to see how the playoffs are determined.

I agree but a Group of 5 team has automatic bid so that’s what we have unfortunately. Hopefully whenever they re-do the format in a couple years they will get rid of that and the Group of 5 can have their own playoff.

Would have really loved to see this team in the playoffs with a healthy Strider, Acuña, Riley, and Lopez. All those guys combined, I’m fairly certain we would have had another 100-win season. 95 at the very least.
