So I’m just going to assume Wyatt Evans is no longer with the baseball program.

His bio on the roster has been deleted

He’s scrubbed most of Tennessee from his social media pages

Which is weird because I believe he was on the announced roster in February and was posting Tennessee stuff almost like 4 weeks ago

Would love to know what soured that relationship?

Good news is Arizona, Iowa State, Baylor, and Kansas all lost today as well. The bad news is that North Carolina won a big game at Duke and we are probably now neck and neck with them for the final 1 seed. I would still have us a notch ahead of them but it’s close at this point. Losing to Kentucky is by no means a bad loss but if we had won today I am of the belief we would have locked up the 1 seed no matter how we do in the SECT. Now it seems we have to advance further in our tournament in order to get it.

It does matter but basketball is different than football due to how they select teams. They care more about metrics and quadrant records than H2H. It clearly didn’t matter a couple of years ago whenever we won the SECT and had beaten Kentucky 2 out of 3 times. They gave preferential treatment to a blue blood. Knowing our luck, with all things even they will use H2H as a determining factor and nobody in the media will question them. Reporters need to grow a pair and start asking these “third party” selection committees tough questions and holding their feet to the fire.

So a #2 seed it is then. Which #1 would be wonderful but a #2 seed isn't something to poo poo on either..

It just seems poetic that in order to get a 1 seed locked up we had to beat our arch rival. North Carolina had to do the same thing and came out with a win. It just seems inevitable there will be a UNC-Duke rematch in the ACCT while we have to go through Auburn/South Carolina. The best teams on UNC’s side of the bracket are Pittsburgh/Wake Forest. Get out of here with that easy path 🤣

I will say that if we go through the gauntlet of the SECT and come out on top, I really don’t see any way they could deny us a 1 seed. Traditionally they have shown they don’t put much stock into conference tournaments but they may have no other choice this year.

It’s really pretty laughable. I don’t care who the player is and if they have never made a 3 in their career. You’re suppose to stick with them and at least make it somewhat contested. Guarantee you she would have air balled that shot. If that was the coaching philosophy on the play then that is a fireable offense. If that was the player’s effort then that player would never see the court again if I were the coach. Simple as that. Pat is rolling over in her grave over that play.

Hell, if nothing else foul her. She is worthless. I don’t know why she ever gets playing time.
