I believe in 2022 the Vols were the best team by a country mile. I’ve learned from watching college baseball the last three years, it takes more than being the best team to win it all. You also have to be a bit lucky and stay healthy.

It’s not even college baseball. Just baseball in general. The Dodgers and Braves have been the best teams in the league for the past 2 seasons and everything is pointing towards more of the same this year. Neither of them made the NLCS and all 4 participants in those series were wildcard teams. Only thing you can count on is being hot at the right time, and even then sometimes that isn’t enough.

Those were two very good players. Always loved and respected Tony’s game. If Donnie hadn’t been hampered by injuries he would be in the HOF.

Tell me who was your favorite MLB player not on your favorite team?

growing up I liked the Braves, Cubs and Reds. Braves and Cubs mainly due to the fact I could watch every game on the Superstation and WGN. Other than those players, always liked George Brett. Hit .390 in 1980 and 13 time All-Star and yeah, gotta love the pine-tar game!!
