He was great being top 3 out of every 3rd baseman is a tremendous accomplishment.
Every Brave doesn't have to be the greatest at every position or every Dodger as far as that goes..
Can't compare numbers different eras..
That guy on MLB drives me crazy comparing different players from different eras.
Can't compare Apples and Oranges.
Hitting is hitting man. Power numbers will always fluctuate by era but if you put Chipper in any era that dude would still be one of the best all around hitters of all-time, regardless of position. He was great being top 3 out of every 3rd baseman is a tremendous accomplishment.

How so? All of Ohtani’s money is guaranteed and the Dodgers will be on the hook for $68M/yr for an entire decade that will count against the luxury tax for a player that won’t even be on the roster by the time it rolls around. In 2006, Chipper had a $17M contract and took an actual pay cut to $11M. $4M was turned into a signing bonus and then they signed him for $15M/yr for another couple of years. No deferred money. That is the definition of a pay cut.Neither did chipper by that metric.
Ohtani wanted to construct his contract this way for 2 reasons.Neither did chipper by that metric.
Thank youI don't have a dog in this fight but I'd like to see the Lions in the Super Bowl, their loyal fans deserve it, and MAD too!
