There were several violations among spring training yesterday but none that ended the game like this one.
The hitter was on his way to 1st, thinking it was on the pitcher.😂
It was pretty close and imo was called unnecessarily but they are probably really enforcing the rules in spring training to make guys be more aware of these new rules.
My guess is a close call like that won’t be called so quickly in the regular season and especially in the postseason.
It reminds me of the NFL play clock. Every Sunday I watch numerous teams snap the ball after the clock hits zero but it’s rarely called.

Yeah that was a rough one. I’m more bitter about the one where we won the first two in New York and then the Yankees won in 6. I think that was 1996?

I just love when people try to diminish our team’s accomplishments, especially after we beat a team by 20 runs over three games.
