I felt the same way last night. Winning gets rid of most of those trolls, the rest the mods just need to ban from the baseball game day thread like they did last year.

We're going to go through growing pains this. A lot of guys are going to have to get use to pressure created by last years team . We need all of our guys projected to start to be playing ASAP. And new starters to get comfortable with there position. I believe this team will be very good by the start of sec play .

  • 1903 - Nick Young remains N.L. president when A.G. Spalding bows out of the battle.

  • 1923 - Christy Mathewson becomes president of the Boston Braves after buying the club for $300,000 with New York attorney Judge Emil ***hs and Bostonian James McDonough. The deal does not include Braves Field, which still belongs to James Gaffney. There are also 85 minority stockholders.

  • 1929 - The Red Sox announce they will play Sunday games (allowed for the first time in Boston) at Braves Field, because Fenway Park is located too close to a church.

  • 1943 - Phil Wrigley and Branch Rickey charter the All-American Girls Softball League. The league will operate around the Chicago area and is formed as a sports backup in case the government shuts down major league baseball. The league will later change its name and switch to hardball with a pitching distance of 40 feet and bases 68 feet apart.

  • 1953 - August A. Busch buys the Cardinals for $3.75 million and pledges not to move the team from St. Louis.

  • 1958 - The Los Angeles Coliseum Commission approves a two-year pact for use of its facility by the Dodgers.

I was happy with what I heard as a mediocre performance for me singing Won’t Back Down by Fuel.
From what I heard my voice wasn’t terrible like American Idol singers I’ve heard, however I can’t say it was good quality that I would brag about.

Mostly it was Lukewarm milk which isn’t far away from the desired cold milk aka a singing voice that is either great or good.

I’m not panicking that the Baseball Volunteers had an abysmal 1st weekend since they were swept because they were playing on the road, and because with more than 20 regular season games left I’m not going to overreact that them starting 0-3 is a gospel for what they are.
If they lose a series 3 consecutive weeks or more then I’ll push the Red Panic button because of them showing consistent evidence of the same flaws that haven’t been fixed much like my 2022 Titans that had an embarrassing terrible scoring offense that wasn’t fixed during the 2023 17 games in the NFL regular season.

We won today, also they play almost 60 games not 20.
