How 2023 balanced schedule could affect playoff races
I don’t think using the Phillies “feasting on the Nats” last year is a very good example.
Those same Phillies had to play the Braves and Mets 38 times and were a combined 13-25.

Does anyone think that maybe the Marlins and Nationals had bad records because they had to play against the three best teams in the NL not named the Dodgers? I could argue that if you put them in the NL Central they would perform as well as the majority of those teams last season.
