Cross thread posting .... new poll for the 2023 football season .... what do you think ....

ESPN's 2023 Way-Too-Early college football Top 25
Higher than expected. I think I had us in the 11-15 range. There will be a small drop off on offense with Milton compared to Hooker but the defense should improve and hopefully we are a more balanced team. The three portal transfers we got are huge. We should be favored in every game except Alabama and Georgia and I think we have the same record as this year with an opportunity to upset Georgia in Knoxville for a chance to make it to Atlanta. Another 10-win regular season would springboard our recruiting to elite status for the 2024 season. It’s nice having a relevant football program again.

What I like most about what this posting is saying:
1) Key losses in players listed.
2) Key additions of players added for the 2023 year.
3) The Outlook for the football season in the year 2023.

So you don't think the $11 million or whatever amount man will not be starting QB next year? Why would you give a kid that much money and him not start? I think Milton will transfer.

Not because I'm a UGA football fan but because I think Kirby and Redmond kinda fit into this category. I don't see how people, even opposing teams, cannot appreciate the story of Stetson Bennett. I am tired of hearing it every game but it is an inspiration to all those kids who are told they cannot make it in life or are not good enough. He worked his tail off to prove he was worthy.

Exactly ..... see my "tweet" posted in #25593 on the other page.

I don’t appreciate anything Alabama, Florida, or Georgia. Nothing personal against Bennet but I find my inspiration in other places. Inky Johnson is more inspirational than him. Sorry, not sorry 🤷‍♂️

As for Nico, I don’t think he will be starting out of the gate. Joe Milton III has really improved and did not turn the ball over in his limited action this season. Freshmen are prone to turning the ball over and you can’t do that in the SEC if you want to win. Better to go with the experienced QB unless Nico really shows out in camp.

I agree with Inky but two different situations. Both are great stories for varied reasons. I can appreciate the stories. As much as I don't like Auburn, I love Sonny D's story. And I could tell more. I loved watching Tebow even though I hate Florida.
I loved watching Tebow flame out in the NFL.

Tell Jim Rome to go steal 30 bases and drive in 51 runs in a season and let us know how easy that is. Yeah Michael Jordan wasn’t a great baseball player but he wasn’t the worst either. Some people just don’t realize how hard the sport is. I can’t stand that blow hard Jim Rome.
Just don’t call him “Chris” Everett!

Which babe?
I watched Babe last night too.

Will be interesting to see what the Chicago Bears do with the 1st pick in the draft. Will they trade Justin Fields and draft Bryce Young? Will they draft the best available non-QB? I’ve always said that if I had the number 1 pick and I had a horrible roster that I would do the smart thing and take some stupid franchise for a ride. Trade back within the top 5 and gain multiple 1st round picks. There are always teams that float out they are attempting to trade up and spook other teams into making stupid draft day decisions. I would target the Texans since they don’t know how to play the tank game. Give me the 2nd and 12th pick plus another pick and I will give you the number 1 pick 😎
