Roberto was killed in a plane crash traveling to a relief mission for an earthquake IIRC... it was horrible and my best friend was a huge Pirates fan, we were 13 years old at the time. News coverage then was nothing like it is now but it was covered by Walter Cronkite national news.

Hope you enjoy the game. My son was going but Southwest cancelled most of the flights from Nashville yesterday morning.

We made the decision to drive down instead of flying weeks ago so I guess we lucked out. Hopefully the cancelled flights don’t impact too many fans from either school.

I’m pretty sure @ArdentVol and @mad4vols are older than me, and @Volprofch05 grew up in the frozen tundra of upstate New York.

We should plan a reunion before or after a BaseVols game.

It was jr high when I was young, now it’s elementary I think??
I played baseball for the baby falcons organization at christenberry.

Baby Falcons are still going strong. Was Larry Cox one of the coaches?

Flying is great, there’s nothing to it! (flown to Hawaii, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam). Spending a whole day on the plane is not as fun though.

We were on a prop plane in Costa Rica during a violent thunderstorm. It was terrifying.
