Duggan is a baller. He’s deserving.

I agree he is a baller but disagree he is deserving of the award. There are at least three other QBs in the country that had better seasons than him and one of them played for our Vols.

I certainly think Hooker would have been an excellent choice. Other than Hooker, I don’t know any QB that meant more to their teams win/loss record than Duggan. Stats don’t show every thing. Without Duggan, TCU loses 4 to 5 games.

Aren’t awards suppose to be more about stats though? These aren’t team accomplishments, they are individual awards.

Eh, Max Duggan was the equivalent of Michael Penix Jr this season. They were both really good this year but they shouldn’t be winning any QB awards. Caleb Williams, CJ Stroud, and Hendon Hooker were the best QBs this season using whatever metric you would like to use. Duggan is in the next tier of college QBs after those three.

Hooker might have won 1 more game for TCU than Duggan. I don’t believe Williams or Stroud would.
