I did one time on vacation, at the beach.

Grew up in Knoxville because my dad was at UT but was born in Michigan so they were my second favorite team after Tennessee, I despised Ohio State like I despised Alabama.
When I was 16 we moved to Columbus Ohio because my dad was hired at Ohio State. I was mortified. But over the years I’ve softened up. I don’t care who wins, might lean toward the Buckeyes because that’s who my dad is pulling for. (Says it has something to do with where he got paid or some crap like that).

Hope you don’t mind me asking mad, but wondering what’s your dad up to these days? Is he retired, still in Columbus?

He is retired and lives about 5 minutes from me down here in Florida. He still attends and speaks at conferences.

Sounds great! Nice to hear that he’s retired but still involved. Sometimes academic types try to stay in the office forever, which I think is a little nutty.
