With the extension of Michael Harris, I would look for the Braves to trade Ozuna in the offseason and let Swanson walk to clear the way for Grissom to take over. Ozuna is signed for $16M/yr with a club option to opt out after the 2024 season. You cannot pay a guy that type of money that only has a .263 OBP. 2020 Ozuna ain’t coming back, that was an aberration for him. Swanson is going to command too much money. He’s currently making $10M this season. Have to expect him making somewhere in the neighborhood of $20M/yr.

That’s just too much for the Braves current payroll with them locking up all the young talent. I hate losing Swanson but I hope they make these moves and go after a really good pitcher this offseason. I would expect the Braves to go after deGrom (if he becomes available), Mike Clevinger, Michael Wacha, Tyler Anderson, Noah Syndergaard, and Carlos Rodon (if he becomes available).
Makes sense to me. The Braves have to get help on the mound.
Strider may come back down to earth, once hitters figure him out a little more. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s just n his way to being a stud, but...
I think you have a ton of young talent and maybe look to make 1-2 big splash moves in the trade market.

I’m just glad they are locking these young dudes up. They don’t want the Freddie situation to happen again.

How many of those were you alive for?

Edit: nevermind, I saw your other post. You’ve witnessed enough championships for 3 lifetimes lol

They’re much more exhilarating when you have to wait a long time. Hopefully we’ll both experience that soon with the Vols.
Yes it will be satisfying whenever it finally does happen again. It won’t be this year but the football program is on a good trajectory. Really most of all the sports programs are good right now for the Vols.

Seriously cannot understand why Snitker can’t leave d’Arnaud and Contreras in the lineup together as C/DH. I guess that makes too much sense.
