From what I remember reading, your metabolism doesn’t really start until you intake something other than water essentially. So that means not even coffee in the mornings or else your metabolism is started for the day. It also helps if you consume smaller portion meals throughout your 8-hour period but during the work week that may not be ideal for most people. I’ve been eating a lot of salads with grilled chicken in addition to those protein shakes. Probably about the best thing I can consume on a daily basis to keep my protein intake up and my calorie intake down. Cutting out the sodas is a huge deal. That alone will make you start to feel better.

Yep, that’s the idea. I am also a big fan of salads, which is helpful. It’s hard because we’ve got 2 growing boys who we want to eat a lot, but I want to avoid being the 3rd growing boy. Plus, metabolism is crazy. My wife probably eats more than I do, but of course stays at 115 lbs, the luck of the Asians. That also means that if I gain 2-3 lbs, then I might as well be the fattest person on the planet according to her… But when we visit her parents and they say I’m looking good, I’m like haha!

It sure did used to be nice whenever we could eat junk food all day and not gain a pound. Whenever 30 hits you really have to start watching what you eat lol
