When the Bull Run steam plant was built, its single 1000 mwe supercritical steam turbine operated at 1,000 degrees F and 3600 psi….. and was the most thermally efficient turbine in the world. This efficiency was helped by having the cold water out of the bottom of Norris running into Melton Hill lake which provided the coolant water for the condenser! …. Which probably helped build Melton Hill dam ….plus giving Clinton sea access!!🤔🙄
