They called a strike on Gabby Leach after she stepped on the batter’s box line. She had a single but they called her back for the infraction. She then struck out. Would have been on base when we hit the home run.

I was mowing so I was listening to the play by play. Brian Rice said it wasn’t a slap hit, she was 100% in the box. He said even the TV announcers in the next booth looked at him and said WTF.
They wouldn’t show the replay in the stadium. He had no kind words for the buffoon.
They also have stat cast and there were several called balls that stat cast showed were strikes. No kind words.

I saw a replay and about 1/3 of her foot appeared to be out of the box.

They had an overhead camera view of the call. Definitely stepped on the line and toes were into the river. It did seem like it would have required a point of emphasis to have been noticed.

The one that bothered me was the HR called an in play fair ball. They even had an extra umpire on site!
