I’ve said before, there is a reason this dude is already on his 4th MLB team in only 8 years in the league. Teams don’t just willingly let a talented guy in his prime get away like that. I would have told him “we will give a little more than what Manny Machado’s contract is but that’s as high as we go.” He provides nothing on defense and whenever he isn’t hitting well you can’t depend on anything from him.
