OldTimer’s Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

The Braves were my first love. TBS allowed me to watch a ton of Braves games and took numerous trips to Fulton Co Stadium and then Turner Field. I haven’t watched a Braves game in years. When MLB moved thr all star game from Braves, it was the last straw. Politics has no place in sports. Vols take up 99% of my sports time.
The all star game situation wasn’t the Braves fault and I’m sure if you ask actual baseball fans then it should have never been moved. The Braves were going to have the opportunity to honor the recently deceased Hank Aaron and that’s what the whole game was centered around. Just another reason why everyone hates Rob Manfred.

I figured you’d be at Truist watching GT vs GA. If I wasn’t in Knoxville watching the BaseVols, that’s where I would have been.

I wanted to see this game, but my housemate, Marc isn't healthy enough to attend a weeknight game and I wasn't going to leave him at home and go that game knowing that he wanted to go, but couldn't.

No big deal and we are looking forward to a party we're having for another housemate who's birthday is this Friday.

Yeah. I know that the decision had nothing to do with the Braves. I live in the ATL and followed it closely. My point was politics has no place in sports. The 94 strike was the first step towards diminishing my feelings about MLB. The all star game was the last straw.
