I used to say “I’ve been with the Braves thru thin and Tanner.” Lol

I remember when Craig McMurtry was gonna be the great savior. And I85 Pascual Perez. I had a baseball I got signed at Northgate Mall by Horner, Chambliss, Washington, Hubbard and Murphy.

Listened to the Cards sweep us on the radio in the NLCS because we didn’t have cable yet and couldn’t watch it. Cried my eyes out at the end of game four.

I too watched a ton of losses in person before I ever got to celebrate a win. Indeed there’s a huge bandwagon full of Braves fans. But I was there to charge them admission when they got on. lol
That baseball would be on a shrine in my house!!😮

I just saw that Joe Milton is now one of dem boys.
That is a Jerry Jones move if I’ve ever seen one.
He loves the cannon arms and 40 times.

I hope it works out for Milton, I would love to see him have a successful career.
Holding a clipboard for 8 years is a successful NFL career, imo.

Bringing back my childhood memories. When I was a kid and both my parents worked, my grandpa would pick me up from school and we’d go back to his house and watch the Cubs play in the afternoon and then I’d go home and watch the Braves. I always joked that I never made it to pro ball because I watched so much bad baseball growing up. I’ve never figured out how in the blue blazes Chuck Tanner was a major league manager.

Chuck Tanner was the Manager of the 1979 World Series Champions Pittsburgh Pirates.

y’all are disrespecting managers.

Look at a&m, World Series last year preseason number 1 this year, stacked lineup.

Biggest difference, manager.
52 will prolly crucify me for this, but I put some of it simply on being in the SEC.
This conference is tough and will chew your ass up.
One sweep and you can find yourself in a hole real quick.
And with the number of good teams in this league, that is a real possibility on any given weekend.

Sure, but they had a stretch in which they were 1-5 against Cal Poly, Texas State, Arizona, Oklahoma St, Rice, and UT-San Antonio

Nah, I agree about the Baseball being a rough row to hoe... Basketball this season was a first let's see how it goes in the future.
