Now we know why it was easy to move Grissom.
I hope this kid pans out.
@Volprofch05 what do you think about this whole “Horns Down” situation? Personally, I think the entire SEC fanbase should band together and wear t-shirts with “Horns Down” to every single sporting event, even those Texas is not participating in. If I had an endless supply of money I would personally fund this just to prove a point. What are they going to do, play all the games in front of empty seats? My suggestion to Texas: get over yourself and stop acting like you run everything and maybe other fanbases wouldn’t act a certain type of way towards you![]()
Yeah I knew you don’t pay any attention to all that. Whenever the school with the whole 15 yard penalty thing a few years ago and now the head basketball coach make a big issue out of it, it kind of makes everyone just laugh at you as an athletic department. Maybe they should get Matthew McConaughey to run things and everyone will mellow out.Oh, it's totally pathetic and soft as hell. Plus, responding to it is counterproductive since you know that fans are going to harass you even more now that they know you're sensitive to it.
I do think it's overblown a bit. Rodney Terry made some dumb complaints about opponents doing the horns down and that's on him. Supposedly, it was BYU that made those kids remove their shirts. Hopefully, Texas didn't ask for it, and if so whoever did is a moron. I'd have to think most horns fans couldn't care less about horns down, including myself.
My husband is a Longhorn, along with my daughter, and many relatives on his side of the family. They are all embarrassed by the situation. Oklahoma has been doing the horns down for decades! Problem started when the NCAA put in the taunting rule and a WVU player did it to fans in the stands and got called for taunting. It has been blown out of proportion ever since. Rodney Terry didn't help matters. Your average Texas fan could care less about it.Oh, it's totally pathetic and soft as hell. Plus, responding to it is counterproductive since you know that fans are going to harass you even more now that they know you're sensitive to it.
