Yeah, that’s him.

He actually has a pretty cool backstory. Started out with the Twins organization and got released in 1998 and went back home to Australia to be a pharmaceutical salesman. Then he pops back onto the scene at the 2006 World Baseball Classic throwing 96mph and the Braves invited him to Spring Training afterwards. And then he went on to have a pretty successful 12 year pitching career in the majors.

Has a 1st baseman’s glove on, playing 1st and then coming into pitch is a tad easier than catching I imagine

Nah. I'd go with a big juice contract or not at all. Plus, a meal ticket for travel food.
If you blow a knee out w/no contract paying you while in rehab ....you're screwed.

Joey Votto now has a .299 career batting average because of this season. I hope he’s able to finish his career at the .300 mark. Currently has a career slash line of .299/.414/.517. One of the better players of this era imo and hasn’t gotten the respect he deserves over time because he has been on a lot of losing teams.
