Evening VolNation Family.

I’ll be back in the great City I love Omaha at night today.
The flight from Las Vegas to Omaha is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

I have a lot of Las Vegas photos to look at, also Las Vegas vacation videos.

This is me on a Southwest Airplane.

On January 27 in Baseball History...
  • 1944 - Lou Perini, Guido Rugo, and Joseph Maney buy control of the Boston Braves and oust Casey Stengel as manager.

  • 1956 - The New York Giants football team switches its home games to Yankee Stadium, leading to speculation that the baseball team will soon vacate the Polo Grounds as well.

  • 1963 - The Hall of Fame Special Veterans Committee votes in Sam Rice, Eppa Rixey, Elmer Flick, and John Clarkson.

  • 1966 - Wisconsin State Circuit Court Judge Elmer W. Roller rules that the Braves must stay in Milwaukee or else the National League must promise Wisconsin an expansion team for the 1966 season.

  • 1982 - Philadelphia sends veteran shortstop Larry Bowa and minor league infielder Ryne Sandberg to the Cubs in exchange for shortstop Ivan DeJesus. Bowa and DeJesus will have a few more productive seasons in the major leagues, but the 22-year-old Sandberg will become one of the best-hitting second baseman of all time. In 1984, he will lead the Cubs to their first appearance in the postseason since 1945.

I did smile greatly after getting back in Omaha.
Here are photos of the terrific City Omaha late night during the same day I got back in Omaha which is January 26, 2023.
1 photo does include the same Baseball Stadium that College Baseball teams want to play because it’s where the College World Series is played.

I’m not a big fan of women’s basketball just because I grew up going to men’s games, but man, that defense in the Lady Vols’ game last night was painful to watch. They absolutely got shredded. Turnovers were also a killer, too. I really don’t care for Geno, but UConn is always so well-coached. It pains me to say that, but it’s true, in my opinion.

The only thing I can make heads or tails out of is you & a wall that has Omaha spelled out.
