NWA - Straight Outta Compton
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Wu-Tang Clan - 36 Chambers
Sugarhill Gang - Rapper's Delight
Run DMC - Raising Hell
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five - The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel

You should probably add in the Geto Boys' "Grip It!" or "We Can't Be Stopped."

1. Fat Pat - He would have taken over the South, no doubt in my mind and anyone who has ever listened to him. His tracks from '97 that can still hang with ones from '06, take Swang for instance, the hook for that song came from Pat 10 years ago. Probally one of the least-known rappers. R.I.P. Fat Pat

2. DJ Screw - TRUE legend. If you've heard any songs Chopped or Screwed, it's 'cuz of DJ Screw. He can wreck it in any song, had respect from everyone.. Hell even Biggie & Pac said he was gonna take over. R.I.P. DJ Screw
